The 75’ (22.86m) Ocean Voyager TARA is now for sale with Yacht Broker Brian Commette. This long-range motor yacht is asking $1,350,000.
TARA is set to revolutionize the industry with her superior design and eco-friendly features. Hull and deck were supplied by Lyman-Morse, one of the finest composite shipyards in the United States. A talented team at Ocean Voyager completed her finish work. TARA boasts a foam-cored fiberglass hull and deck painted with Awlgrip. The custom aluminum weldment superstructure has been left natural, giving the vessel a sleek and modern appearance.
TARA was designed by Ulf Rogeberg, known for pioneering the use of a canoe-body shape as the most easily driven hull form. With two relatively small (150 HP) diesels that provide a 9.5-knot cruising speed, TARA is easily managed by two crew without the frills of today’s production vessels. The vessel burns an astonishing 3.5 gallons per hour, making her an ecologically conscious choice for yachting enthusiasts.
Inside, TARA’s interior is bright and open, finished off in Herreshoff style with mahogany trim and white panels, Sisal carpets, large windows, and white headliners. The headroom is generous, allowing guests to move around with ease. TARA’S arrangement plan includes five separate cabins. Owner’s quarters are aft and full beam with a centerline queen berth, ensuite head and shower. Forward are port and starboard cabins, each with upper/lower berths. These two cabins share one head compartment, which also serves as the day head. Common space amidship is given over to upper and lower salons. The upper salon is a bright open space with a full helm station, ship’s control panels and a raised dinette. The lower salon has a galley and L-shaped dining and lounge area down four steps. Further forward are two additional cabins, each with an ensuite head and shower.
Located behind the deckhouse, a cozy cockpit featuring angled seating protects from the weather. The flybridge with its upper helm station offers excellent visibility with the possibility of being enclosed and climate-controlled.
TARA is leading the pack in the transition to ecologically conscious yachting while offering guests a comfortable and stylish experience. With its superior design, modern features and ample accommodations, TARA is the perfect vessel for those seeking a unique expedition experience.
